FEDECAMARAS 2008-2009 Presidency

British Chamber of Commerce sat in the presidential chair of the Federation of European Chambers of Commerce for the period 2008-2009 as of February 28th last. Official swore-in was held at the Official Spaniard Chamber of Commerce offices.

Fedecamaras main task is to stimulate, facilitate, and develop, as widely as possible, commerce and investments, which positively affect business freedom amongst producers, manufacturers, exporters, as all other legal commercial matters between markets, from the Dominican Republic to the European countries, represented by the bilateral Chambers of Commerce.

Likewise, the Federation pretends to regroup and coordinate common activities between the countries encompassed in same, following the stops of the origin which motivated the unification of the European Community.

The Federation is constituted by members whom represent equal number of European Chambers of Commerces in the Dominican Republic, named: Belgium, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Scandinavia, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Russia and Great Britain. For the 2008-2009 period, the Federation will be presided by the following Board of Directors:
