Special Invitation to The Royal Garden Party

Every summer, Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II hosts at least three garden parties at Buckingham Palace, plus one at the Palace of Holy Roodhouse in Edinburgh, where over 30,000 people attend. These parties celebrate the achievements of a particular charity or organization and provide a unique opportunity to see a part of London that is not normally open to the public.

The first of three for this year took place on 8 July where some 8,000 guests turned out in their finery for the occasion. Diplomatic posts from around the world were invited to nominate 60 of their closest contacts to receive invitations to this year's Royal Garden Party.

With magnificent weather to compliment the special occasion, Roberto Herrera, president of the Chamber and his wife admired the wonderfully dressed guests, listened to the incredible Royal Band, watched the Guards and engaged in warm and interesting conversation with so many fascinating people who were also in attendance.
