November 7, 2008: The British Embassy of Santo Domingo’s Green Committee recently handed, Elsa Turull de Alma, Executive Director of the British Chamber of Commerce in the Country their own “Green Bin” as part of the post’s Greening Campaign.

The Embassy is also planning to do the same with all the offices in the building where it is located in mid town and turn it into the first “Green Building” in Santo Domingo.

The three person operated committee works closely with Ambassador Ian A. Worthington trying to develop new ideas to raise awareness on recycling issues in a country where recycling is not the norm.
