The British Chamber of Commerce made an encounter with the outstanding British Lord Foulkes, on his visit to the country. The meeting took place in the "Sessions Salon" of the "Consejo Nacional de la Empresa Privada" (CONEP), with the participation of Dominican businessmen and British investors interested in doing business with the country, as well as Paul Martínez, Ambassador of The United Kingdom.
The presentation of Foulkes was in charge of the president of the institution, Roberto Herrera. Foulkes is a politician of a long and successful career. He belongs to the Labour Party whose presentation holds before the Socialist International. He's considered an specialist in the latinamerican problem, to which he has been associated since he got in contact with chilean exiles of the overthrow of Salvador Allende. President of the Caribbean-British Business Council, pushed in the Parliament the formation of the "Grupo Multipartidario para la República Dominicana", used to advertise our country. For his contributions in this he was awarded in past days by the Dominican Executive Branch.
