Ever since our Ambassador to her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II, Mr.
Steven M. Fisher arrived in Dominican Republic in December 2009, the British Chamber of Commerce has been interested in teaching him about our country’s trade and culture.
We thought it would be appropriate for our Ambassador to visit the rich La Vega Carnival, a significant aspect of our culture and traditions that once again has received Orange Dominicana’s sponsorship thus reaffirming its commitment to assist in developing cultural activities and its support to Dominican traditions by becoming an official sponsor for the eighth consecutive year of this rich cultural tradition of the La Vega valley.
The Ambassador was joined by the Chamber’s President, Mr. Roberto Herrera, its Vice-president, Mr. Marcos Pena, Denise Ruiz Ibert Communications and Projects Officer of the British Embassy and Mrs. Elsa Turull de Alma, Executive Director.
The facilities provided by Orange Dominicana so we could show his Excellency the La Vega Carnival were well received and we thank Mr. Armand Toonen and Orange Dominicana for their support.
