Scotch Whisky is popular in the Dominican Republic but many do not know its origin and history, how is made, where is made, because of the latter The British Chamber of Commerce with the participation of the most important distributors and brands: Bacardi & House of Dewars, Vinicola del Norte with Duggans & Glenmorainge, Diageo & Johnnie Walker, Pernod Ricard with Chivas Regal & The Glenlivet and Brugal & Cia with JB, made and event were we transported Dominicans to Scotland and showed them the secrets of the “water of life”.

With the presence of Her Majesty's Ambassador in Santo Domingo Ian A. Worthington the two day event was inaugurated, Roberto Herrera addressed the guest and said that; “Our goal is to promote Whisky and not a particular brand and to promote the attributes of Scotch Whisky in our country”.

The profits of both nights were donated to charitable foundations; Instituto Dominicano de Desarrollo Integral and Fundación Amigos Contra el Cáncer Infantil.
