With great enthusiasm finalize two weeks of the British Tennis Cup 2007. The tournament took place in the tennis courts of the Santo Domingo Country Club, this event is part of the activities programmed for the occasion of our twentieth anniversary.

The organizing committee of the tennis cup was integrated by Roberto Herrera and Elsa Turull de Alma, president and executive director, the chambers tennis director Leon Rubio, also passed president of the institution and the participation of Ulises Quezada, tennis pro of the Club.

The victorious winners received the trophies on a rainy night in hands of the organizers and invited personalities. Miguelina Núñez and Laura Medina crowned champions of the women categories, and Michael Alfaro, Tony Vilchez and Roberto Ruiz in the men category. In the final tournament Georgie Espínola, Izzet Sansur, Wilfredo Baquero Senior and Roberto Lamarche, were winners.

The Golf and Tennis disciplines were created in England more ago than one hundred years and by their great popularity and acceptance are practiced at world-wide level, it is by which the British Chamber of Commerce has insisted on constituting this championship in an annual tradition between our members and the lovers of this popular sport in our country.

This event was celebrated with great success, like in other social and sport activities that the British Chamber makes.
